French graphic designer, illustrator and typography artist Short merges the humor of cartoons with urban coolness. His appealing “street style meets vector art” has an aura of Dadaist hipness and subcultural prestige. Short ingeniously mixes eighties & nineties colors and shapes; old & nu school hip hop elements and eye-catching slogans.

Short has a refreshing approach to graphics and character design - there’s a freestyle mix of cross-cultural influences in his vector illustrations. Drawing inspiration from arcade games, toys, music, movies, magazines, subcultures, comics and sports, Short’s graphics are loaded with a potent, ironic, cheeky pop art factor. In his works, you can easily spot a token glance toward the universe of 80’s art icons Keith Haring or Kenny Scharf and befriended designers Eboy, Alex Trochut, Cuypi, Siggi Eggertsson and Jared Nickerson.

Short’s flamboyant illustrations can be ordered on t-shirts from online t-shirt shops La Fraise, Camiseteria, Design by Human, Threadless, Mr Poulet or Pampling. If you want to find out more about Short’s work and universe, make sure to check out his blog: www.the-short.blogspot.com
