Vector illustration of a people in motion, in a universe full of escalators. The core of an escalator is a pair of chains, looped around two pairs of gears. Escalators can carry over 10,000 people an hour, much more than a standard elevator. Let technology take you to your destination.

When magic meets technology… In the old times, escalators were known by a variety of names: "inclined elevator", “magic stairway” or "traveling staircase. In the beginning of the 20th Century, inventor Charles Seeberger who worked on the forerunner of the modern escalator came up with the term that we still use today. His name "escalator" is a combination of "elevator" and "scala," the Latin word for steps.
